I still quite pleased with this, to say the car is losing power on a daily basis (must shut the stable door!) and is down to 180 atf, due to the knackered cam, which is in turn not giving the usual blast from the nitrous, which is only a single hit 75bhp

it had its cronky old weber carb (im now told is crap, weird its been great for 18years....) the opus dizzy, open diff and a pair of part worn vitara tyres on the back (ebays finest £50!) the rear end suspension is the original 39 year old springs and shocks with a pair of homebuilt slapppers!!

Ran a best of 13.64@ 104, have run with more weight and less tired engine (and 205 remoulds ahem) a 13.6 dead@112, so once the engine is done and the lsd is in (next week hopefully) and a step up with the gas all money permitting!!

anyhow, here goes, the blue MK blackbird is a mates, and i was quite chuffed to be close behind all things considered, his low weight (450kg) gets him off the line well, but i was always reelling him in!

as you can see the launces need work, im cosidering a swap back the stock front struts (away from the 2.8 bilstein) to help the front lift a bit, and also wheelspin is fairly major too! some of the smoke is from the tyres, some from the over rich mixture and dodgy dizzy i imagine, and the rest is oil from a smokey old rover v8!!

enjoy, any advice suggestions gladly recieved!

Very respectable all things considered but you're playing with FIRE with a worn cam and nitrous. :beatstick: :beatstick:

its sidelined now Trev until i get my first pay packet end of september, ive been unemployed for a year basically, so im too skint even for the refresh

i have a few tweaks to try for launching and traction, although the actual launches wernttoo bad, little tyre squeal, but once i hit the gas, the weight has shifted froward again and it breaks traction, im hoping the lsd will minimalise this, then i may take the small leaf out of the back springs for squat and as i say replace the front struts with something a tad looser!
