A new record for a single engined classic mini, with A seies power was set yesterday at theb pod at the mini in the park show, the old record was held by myself and set in 2000 using 5 port A seires + nitrous,

my second car , driven by my good friend Tom fenton, 1293cc , 16 valve KAD aftermarket head, full EFI and turbo nitrous . ran a best of 11.12 @124.4 mph , 1.67 @ 60ft , 102.9mph @1/8 in 7.2 secs, on slicks,

pleased , you bet .

carl

Thank's trev,
the old record was 11.72 @114.5mph, so it looks like it will be staying with the Force Racing team for a while yet as i own the only two classic minis to run 11,s with the a series, lol

the pass pissed one or two folk off i can tell you, lol

Thank's for the support over the years,

carl

There's got to a be a 10 in that and that would certainly shock the world if 11.1 isn't enough to do it.

HI Trev. i honmestly don't know how much power its making, but when i first built it, the crank was tight in the centre main and it still made 220 hp on 14 lbs boost, over the next two years the centre main never got fixed a s i always seamed to need it rebuilt in a hurry, but last rebuild i had it line bored and the engine has never been so loose, along with a new ball bearing gt 25 turbo , the boost it still the same at 14-15 lbs, wev'e never upped it, prefering to use gas to boost the power, now hers the interesting bit, you have to watch the vid very carefully,
we are using a simple push button one hit setup ,this car pulled a 1.67 sixty, no gas in 1st, Tom hits the gas as soon as he latches second and it spins the wheels up momentarily , he keeps the gas in as i's still pulling like a train, now listern very carefully as he latches 3rd, there's a moments hesitaion and you can hear the tyres chirp, in 3rd bloody gear !!,
now for the very interesting bit, we are only runnig 25hp jets, lol. and unboosted bottles

Oh and Tom is about 20 kgs heavier than me,lol.

ther eis no hope of using more gas without going progressive so i'll get saving, lol

carl

this car pulled 11.80 secs and a 116 terminal on turbo alone, and has gained 8 mph and chpped off 0.68 secs on 25 hp jets

   AWESOME!!!

We have some used progressives in stock at the mo and I'd do you a better than usual deal if you want to take advantage of that offer.
I'd even allow you time to pay if you're pushed for cash at present, especially if you've got another opportunity to break in to the 10s this year.
The above applies to Minimax and Maximisers but you'd be better with a Max Extreme and I'm not sure if I can fix you up with a 'shop soiled' unit but I should be able to at least 'loan' you a unit till the end of the year if you wanted that option.
