Hi , ran a gravity 50hp last year or 2 on my gsx1100 , worked fine and knocked about a 3rd of a second off my et. Transferred kit to a better drag chassis and have your pump and regulator fitted.Going to start setting this up in the next week or so. Do I start with a certain regulated fuel flow through the pulsoid with no jet in? looking to start 25hp then ramp up to 100hp before long. Is wiring the pump just on with ignition or shall I have it armed when nitrous is? Thanks Gary.

Glad to hear it. :)

Ideally you want to run at approx. 5 psi and then you can keep the jet sizes for both fuel and nitrous at the SAME size. You only need to check without a jet if you are going to optimise the Pulsoid seat adjustment, which is always beneficial, so check out the full instructions for that here;

Wire to the arming circuit only.

How do I measure the fuel pressure! silly questions galore

Add a fuel pressure gauge or you could just adjust the setting to whatever produced the best static test result when using same size jets.

I was just assuming he was as his name is on the bike, so I guessed he was sponsoring you or you were linked to him in some way.

Sponsorship , whats that? the bike is in original 90`s paint and dont want to remove the laquered in decals until I can afford a paint job!

Shame about that as I'd like to know he's still alive and kicking.

I have my fuel pressure guage , going to set to 5psi. Have a 1/2 inch feed from fuel tank teed off in 8mm to carbs, straight through in 1/2 inch through your filter and pump to the regulator , then 8mm to fuel pulsoid . got 100 , 120 and 130 jets at moment, what do you think for a jetting start ? You said same jets for nitrous and fuel now?

That should be fine but you should really start with a pair of 50s.

Got 2 x 50 jets , ran the fuel through with no jet at just over 5psi , got about 500ml per minute , with a 50 jet got 150ml per minute . after running for 30 seconds or so the pump starts blowing air back out the fuel tank side? and squeals a bit when pumping , is this normal? all pipes clamped up tight so no air should be getting in. unless its getting in past the pressure guage I screwed into the top of the regulator? can post pics or possibly a video later if required.
Gary.

No that doesn't sound right and sound like a fitting (inlet/outlet) has been overtightened.

Send the pump back to us and we'll take a look at it.

Just popped out and unclamped the pump! had it on with 2 jubilees round the body with foam to in between. Must have been too tight as now its as quiet as a mouse. Have re fitted it looser now. will look at flow rate again tomorrow. does 150ml/min sound ok for 50 50 jetting to start.

It doesn't really matter what the output is, as long as its constant and repeatable and produces good results on the static test.

Deforming the pump body could well have caused the problem but you now need to hope it hasn't caused any serious/permanent damage.

The pumps are supplied with a mounting plate and it's ESSENTIAL that it's fitted and used. Please send/post pics of the pump fitted.

The pump came with nothing , or I would have used it. I will try it out at weekend. I`ll post a pic tomorrow , have got it lightly jubileed to a home made bracket now with foam insulation. It cant go anywhere.

Did we supply it ourselves new????

Did it have inlet and outlet fittings????

If so on both counts it should also have been supplied with a bracket that attaches between the pump head & the inlet.

Bought from you earlier in year , budget pump , new as far as i know , came in a box with electrical connectors and nothing else , trying to find invoice. Posted a pic of it fitted on your facebook page. Bought a regulator at the same time, which was used.

OK now I've seen the pic all is clear - it's NOT our own brand of pump, so it was supplied as it should have been.

No fuel injection pump is supplied with mounting brackets.
