I'm considering setting on a new employee who is a first class engine builder, so we'll be able to offer an engine building service to the same high spec that our nitrous systems are built to.

Anyone who would like there engine built correctly and would like to benefit from our outstanding customer service, should feel free to contact us.

Regards

If need be yes but I'd be very surprised if you don't go quicker with my nitrous than you would with a blower, although the 2 together would work well.

I'm sure you'll break your existing class record with what we have waiting for you.

Count me in as a dead cert.

Tell me more, sir. Is he going to be based in doncaster? Will the service have access to a dyno to tune the ecu? When is this likely to be set up?

I'm intending to dedicate one of my spare buildings specifically for this project, so yes he'll be based up here in Doncaster with us.

He's available part time now, so we can start offering the service right away.

For now we'll leave the dyno work to engine management experts and you don't need a dyno to confirm an engines been built right if in deed it has. ;)

I like the sound of that Trev. As soon as i've got all the bits and pieces together needed for the build, i'll drop you a line.

Just one small issue i have. Does it matter if the ecu would need to be tuned in order for the engine testing/breaking in to be completed? I'll be using a different ecu to stock and it wont be very clever unless it's dyno tuned... or should i just get hold of any base map and see that as suffifient for breaking it in up to 6000rpm?

It would be a good idea to give me a call BEFORE you do much more for the following reasons;
1) I may be able to save you money with the advice I can provide
2) I may be able to save you money on the cost of whatever parts you intend to put in this engine by either lower cost parts or higher quality/cost parts that won't fail when you need them most.

Just get a base map.

Ken,

Contrary to malicious rumours spread by a couple of mentally deranged stalkers, I not only own the property that I use for my nitrous business, I also have property I'm currently using for another new business I've just started, 3 properties I rent out to tenants, 2 spare buildings I could use or rent out and enough land to build another dozen or so buildings, because I made some wise land investments many years ago. ;)

Although my products are higher priced than US kits my profit is MUCH lower, because my manufacturing costs are MUCH higher, so nobody need be concerned that I'm retiring due to currently making huge profit's from my nitrous products. It's mainly due to the properties I own that I can afford to retire, because the rents will be my pension. :D :D

lol, just a co-incidence that I look at this thread exaclty 9 months on from when I last posted on it!

Has anyone on the board had their engine built by Trev yet?

For those of you that don't know (probably everyone) I'll be having my very special gen7 celica built by him over the winter.

(Ill make a pretty thread, spec list and photo's on the days leading up to the hand-over of hardware)

edit: the date on the forum is wrong btw ;) (it's one day slow!)
