Just a brief post to let you know that we're very close to launching;

1) A new website - all new design, layout, features and a growing number of products.

2) New systems - we're increasing the number of systems available for on line ordering.

3) New vehicle specific systems - we're now offering vehicle specific systems as well as the generally 'universal' systems we have offered until now.

4) A new Max Extreme - all new connectivity, features, capabilities, programmability, etc.

5) Watch out for the new race results that will be announced as they are achieved over the coming season.

The first pre-production Max Extreme 2 circuits arrived on Thursday.
They were built, fully test and 2 were sent out to Cecil Towner along with a pair of the latest REVO's for use on his 2 pro Street bikes.
We'll have the full production batch available within 10 days.

Pics to follow shortly and the website spec will be updated ASAP.

Anyone who wants to upgrade is welcome to trade in whatever existing progressive they already use (including and US made JUNK), so send me a pic of what you have and if it works or not and I'll give you a trade in value.

The new website is proving to be more trouble than was anticipated, so we're still waiting for the exact launch date but it had better be within 2 weeks, otherwise there's going to be some heads rolling.

More new products in the pipe line.

Hi Trev,

very keen to see (and read about the new parts) on the new Max Extreme Race. Any further details for us yet? If it has onboard ignition capabilities, I would be interested in trading in a Schnitz Pro Series II with ignition controller:

I'll post full details ASAP but they don't include any ignition facilities, as I don't believe that's a good idea for a number of reasons;

1) It would make the unit more expensive initially
2) It is already very hard to squeeze all the hardware in to a box that is small enough to suit certain market sectors and that would make it bigger
3) Although we have a microscopic failure rate, should one part of the unit fail, it could mean having to replace the whole unit, which would be far more expensive than buing seperate replacement units.
4) We stipulate isolating the power and ground feeds to the Max from the ignition units, to prevent interference issues, so incorporating them in the same unit would be extremely risky on those grounds.

I don't know how Schnitz get away with most of the issues listed above but it's my guess that certain aspects of the things we pioritise are compromised in their units.

No problem. I will consider moving to a Dyna 4000 ignition and a Max Extreme Race. Any chance of a leak on the new features????

Sam

Tell me about it!!!!!

These 2 day a week bank holidays have been used as the excuse for not delivering when promised and we've now been PROMISED the first batch before the end of the week.

As for the full details, that's down to me and it's not easy finding time for this just yet (we're EXTREMELY BUSY trying to get the new website finished and hosted) but I will get it done ASAP, as we need to get this added to the new website as well.

Hi Sam,

Sorry not as yet, because I've been bustin a gut to get this creation completed for this weekend - just made it!!!!

When I've recovered I should get time to do a full number on the new Max, as we now have the first production batch built and tested.

BTW the car this system was designed for will be using a Max 2 as of this weekend;

AT LAST, the new website is going live TOMORROW NIGHT!!! :wav: :wav:

It's still missing the fancy stuff, like pictures at the head of the page and additional side banners but that will all be added as and when time permits. The new site should be easier to navigate and the shop should work faultlessly (unlike the existing one), plus we'll be able to update & add products etc. much more easily from now on.

Please feel free to comment on the site and to report ANY issues that you're not happy about, as it is still a work in progress project and we want to perfect it, as much as possible as soon as possible.

The change of website is also going to cause a couple of temporary issues, so please take note of the following
We are likely to be unable to receive email from about 8.00 PM for approx. 12 hours, so if you email us and get a delivery failure report back, that is why, so please leave resending until about 11AM on Thursday.

Any email that fails to get through to us during this time will be lost.

The website will be inaccessible for approx 8 hours during the change over, so don't be concerned when you see a blank screen.

All being well we'll be back and even better than before in under 36 hours time from now. :)

Hi Trev :)

Thats fantastic news :)

When you say the website will be inaccessible for 8 hrs or so, do you mean just the new shop or the Forum as well ?

All the best Brett :)

8 hours is the worst case scenario and 8pm is on the safe/early side and it only applies to the main website and NOT the forum.
Hopefully if this all goes well, we'll be switching the forum over to the same guys and putting some more effort in to maximising the effectiveness of it ASAP.

Trev,

Site looks good! I especially like the money conversion so I can see how worthless our American dollar currently is!

Any case, keep up the great work and I will talk to you again soon...

Hi Trev :)

Nice site :) :)

A couple of constructive comments, which hopefully will help...

Sizing... on both Internet Explorer and Firefox, on my fairly large LCD Monitors (22 and 24 inch) the site is NOT resizing (which it should) , which means that I and others with large monitors get a 2 to 3 inch white band down both sides of the pages....which makes it look a lot smaller than the old shop, which DID resize... (to the full width of any screen)

Just tried it on a 17 and 19 inch screen...same non - resizing...with white band both sides (2 to 3 inches)

The Forum link as already mentioned is on that very clever rolling link but I think it would probably be better if it was also a permanent button on the top bar....for ease of access...

Apart from that its very very good :)

All the best Brett :)

Hey Trev,

More constructive help..clicking on the options 'car nitrous' or 'bike nitrous' option at the top giveS you a drop down menu. Fine.. Click any of the options in these menu's and your taken to the appropriate product.. Also fine.. However if instead you click on 'car nitrous' again at the top.. Instead of closing the drop down menu.. It takes you to a 'no products found' page????

I know this is early days for the new site.. So I hope you don't mind us all
Pointing out the little bugs

Regards,

Nick

Yes I spotted that one myself and I think it applies to all the menus, along with NUMEROUS other issues (like the video links not working, the rotating banner link to the REVO being wrong and the pictures missing from the REVO page, to name just a few), so they all needs addressing ASAP.
This bloody company said it would take less than 2 months (SIX months ago) and despite having taken three times longer than expected, we still end up with all these faults!!!! :x :x

I know this is early days for the new site.. So I hope you don't mind us all Pointing out the little bugs
ABSOLUTELY THE REVERSE, as I appreciate any help provided in locating ANYTHING that is below standard in any way. I have the same attitude towards my products, if anyone points out ANYTHING that is inadequate in my component/system designs, I appreciate it A GREAT DEAL as I'm constantly striving for perfection and to achieve that I need all the customer feedback I can get.
Whilst it can be good for my ego to hear compliments about my products & my business in general, NONE OF THAT helps to improve my business in anyway, whereas if someone tells me that a part hasn't been anodised correctly (for example), I can look in to it and get it rectified, so as to maintain the intended high standards I aim for.
