Just as an aside and to point out the irony of life;

The first post by inline6power was with regard to my 'alleged' (misunderstood) "bashing" of 'ALL' Americans to which I pointed out that I 'ONLY' "bash" 2 categories of ANY nationality;
1) ANY nitrous companies that sells the same junk that was available in the 60s and anyone who supports them through ignorance. Unfortunately this tends to be mostly US companies and Americans, although there have been a few even more inept UK companies and even more stupid Brits, with Red Victor being a perfect example.
2) ANYONE who attacks me or my products without justifiable reason, Tubez and most of those who post on YB being good examples.
In both cases the people involved DESERVE ALL THEY GET.

So here's two examples of irony;
1) Inline6power (AN AMERICAN) has "bashed" Gale Banks" (AN AMERICAN) on this thread and yet he won't be accused of being anti-American
2) I've effectively defended Gale Banks (although ALL I've really done is stand by my principles of fair play) and yet I'll still be accused of being anti-American by the fools on YB even if they read this thread.

I hope you can still fulfill this offer? I'm curious to know about the temps, pressures and effects on a diesel engine. From my browsing, I now believe that the more resistance to (turbo) flow, the higher the EGT's will climb? I was also introduced to a youtube video of Brent Rau and his petrol turbo running some 80+psi peak boost, but that's another story.

I believe that at a later date it became the first TRUCK to run in the 10s.

The truck changed hands a year or so ago and the new owner switched my system for a US brand kit and has had ALL SORTS OF PROBLEMS ever since and as far as I'm aware it has only been able to run slower times.

Last summer they ran 10.1, new world record.

High power diesels will always smoke, it's because of diesel combustion principle. You can't inject unlimited amounts of nitrous into diesel engines, they will die when the intake temperatures become too low.

Looks like a work of art! It's difficult to see the set up though, is it parallel, serial, sequential...? Judging by the size of the turbo's, my guess is sequential. I don't see any provision for intercooling either.

and hers is a compound duramax with 3 stages of nitrous that made 1585 at the wheels. thats horsepower, not torque.

Impressive stuff - it reminds me of a Grand Prix truck which had a twin turbo'd & blown V16 2 stroke motor, that I supplied a system for some years ago.

Love the sound of that engine and I didn't realised they could sound that good.
Is the fuel system delivering a fixed amount of fuel?

Interesting that even after making so much power it's still belching out excess fuel, so there's obviously much more to come.

Unless there's some intended reason for what appears to be the random changing mixture indicated by the exhaust emissions, I'd suggest that it indicates how uneven the nitrous flow through the 3 systems is, as I'd expect it to lean out in 3 stages unless there is something else going on that I'm not aware of.

Watched some videos for one of the dyno pull off competitions on one of the Diesel forums from over in the US

THey measure proper power (lbft) not this dodgy horsepower shit

And every truck shown made in excess of 1500 at the wheels :shock: Some seriously impressive numbers were run considering they are pickups not HGV!

There might be something diesely in the pipeline coming out of the west workshop in the next couple of years. And it is unlikely to be a Skoda! These things keep giving me ideas :rolleyes:

But if you measure one, you have the other - at any given engine speed torque and horsepower are just different mathematical expressions of the same thing.

Blimey. Do these trucks ever actually get traction and go in a straight line? haha! Is it me that thinks a 750rwhp truck is probably just as fast as a 1500 rwhp truck in the real world?

Trev I can't help but chime in here. First as you know I just don't jump into things without doing my home work. I am currently driving a 2004 Ford 6.0 diesel with the Banks big hoss bundle which includes the following Banks suppied parts. Intercooler and piping,intake manifold,six gun programer, speed loader transmission programer and exhaust. This system has been on the truck for around 100,000 trouble free miles. Traveling through all kinds of conditions the high elevations and grades of the rocky mountians, the sub zero tempatures of the north, over 2 inches of ice and through several feet of snow. Though the 100 plus tempatures of the south at speed of 80 miles an hour all pulling a 24ft enclosed trailer. I have run many systems over years on the 8 differant diesel trucks that I have had. Banks is the only system that I did not have issues with. To some things up, would I use a banks system if I were building a diesel for racing? NO. Would I have a Banks system on my tow vehical towing my race truck? Absolutly! Banks is a good dependable system for a sevice vehical with good performance. My truck set on level six will spank my wifes Corvette to 80 miles on hour with no problems.
Now for the other things that Gale stated I do not agree with what he said. He simply does not understand and is missing the boat but if all he has is the piss pore US systems to base he case I can kinda understand. They are junk! My current 3.3 liter EG33 build, not diesel, will be running twin turbos on alcohol but with out your system I would never be able to obtain a reliable 1650hp. So his comment about go make some money to build the car right with out using nitrous is way out on line. I don't have to tell you this but your system is so far superior to the systems in the states. I would like to see your system on a US diesel. I may just have to install your system on my truck!!
