I've watched the clip of the diesel Golf with NOS on Fifth Gear a few times in the past, Recently watched it again and noticed a fuel solenoid being fitted. I thought diesels only had the nitrous solenoid?

If you take a closer look you'll see there's actually THREE Pulsoids.

So anyone want to work out what the extra 2 are for and why???

Haha, I've just read a thread on here that you posted Trevor which says you did indeed add propane but also water injection.

Yay...my memory is half working....lol.

Exactly right!

Yes it was propane & water, because when you inject propane in to a diesel you risk encountering detonation but by adding water you suppress it.

By adding propane & water we were able to make a HUGE increase in performance but unfortunately the water pump failed just before we were due to race the Honda, so we had to do the run on nitrous alone.
Had the pump not failed we would have wiped that smug look of Needles face. :beatstick:

Oh sorry for dragging up an already covered topic, I did do a quick search but nothing came up.

How come they don't mention the propane/water injection?.. is it a little Illegal?

I wish, anything to wipe the smug grin off his face. He would have had an excuse though, always does when he gets his arse whipped by Plato although he does seem to have resigned himself now to the fact that Plato is a better driver.

Still a butt muncher all the same :omgrofl:

No, not illegal but just like ALL the tech info they PROMISED to include in that program, they cut it out and concentrated on the simple stuff - BASTARDS!!!!

Never trust ANYONE in the media and never believe ANYTHING you see or read, unless you can get it verified by another source.

Agreed and I was far from happy that we had to settle for the result we delivered.

Yes we do but I doubt they'd be considered street legal (they would probably need some EU certification for that), not that it's stopped a couple of customers from buying them, so we have to sell them as being for race use only.

Hmm... Very interesting, this could be something I could slowly work towards. What aint seen is clean and all that, used sensibly who's to know?

Do you have another bottle for the propane, or does it go in with the nitrous? (don't laugh I'm still learning)

Do you have some more info a link/sticky thread perhaps?
