was just seeing if i have the record. my time isnt massivly impressive 13.37@110 but the citroen ax it not a common car to mod unlike the corsa, saxos, renault 5 and clios. do you guys know of any other AX with a bette time please

iv asked around on the AX owners club and im top of the 1/4 mile board there, knocking off an AX with vtr turbo engine he was at 13.9@98 i think. but now of the AX owners club know of any other AX quicker. but i know there are a thew AX monsters being bulit so i want to claim my 1/4 record befor there finished hehe :lol:

Type "the fastest AX" etc into google and see what comes up. Maybe type "Quickest / fastest AX on the 1/4 mile"

Thats pretty impressive for a 1.6! What else have you done apart from aftermarket management and nitrous?

Quite similar to what I'm running at the moment then, I need to fit and map my gotech pro. Have you had it rolling roaded yet?

I wouldn't call a 13.3 unimpressive and I'd be very surprised if that isn't more than a UK record and could actually be a WORLD record, because as you say they're not the most common car to race.

There's a guy up in Scotland that goes to Knockhill all the time with a very quick trackday AX IIRC, I guess he might have gone to Crail as well?

I'd guess he could be on the AX owners forum & pretty well known tho?

I think I know who you mean Bill. If I`m not mistaken his name is Tam and he has a scrapyard or something like that. He drives a turboed AX. One of his good friends, and responsible for the tuning of his AX is the owner of GMC Motorsport, a company specialized in PSA TU engines. I believe John is his name and he is widely regarded as an oracle when it comes to tuning the TU engines.
I had a modded 106 GTI some years ago and I regularly visited the Saxosportsclub site for a chat with Tam, John and various other members on all matters technical.

yes i know. its a supercharged AX i forgot about that. he does a lot of track days not sure hes run the 1/4 would like to see what his time is if he did a run
