Having just completed my most successful road test EVER, I feel we're getting close to my mission statement
The conditions were perfect, so with the extra 150BHP of NOS, I gave it a blast.
This has to be one of the smoothest runs EVER, with it auto shifting at 5000rpm, without hesitation and not a misfire in site. When it shifted to 4th, I had to double check the display to check the gearing. It was pulling so hard, I thought I was still in 3rd. The Bently GT that was previously up my arse, must have wondered WTF
Returned home with the engine purring and not missing a beat.
Psychologically, this was a big step today, as on all previous runs on the 150BHP extra something almost always failed and was usually pretty terminal. Todays success is a tribute to my last engine build and Trevor's new set-up, which we did last Autumn. I will keep it with the extra 150 BHP for the next trip to the pod and then I have every confidence an extra 200 BHP is in the bag, with its final boost to 250 BHP of NOS ready for the BMW show in July.
