 Post subject: What 13in slicks to get.

Is there specil drag tyres or are all slicks ok.

been looking at these

are these ok for drag or just make for circuit racing

get yourself a set of micky thompson et-drags, i ran the 22x8x13's a few years back night and day compared to sprint style tyres imho

Proper drag tyres (MT's, M&H's, Hoosier etc etc) are light years away from racing slicks or track day tyres. If you want to knock some time off your et's, get some proper drag tyres :idea: :yes:

Most of the circuit tyres are not soft enough for drag racing Sam

Drag tyres dont need to do corners so are set up for straight line so are very soft and pliable (check some of Pels videos) and you can see the side walls wrinkle!
The track (sprint) tyres are not set up like this.

I use a set of r888 on the Furby but they are not as good as a set of proper drag tyres. (but then the furby is also used on track days)

i was looking into micky ts also, 22 8 13 best price i found was at northhants tyres at £170 + vat each
