Nice setup you have there Ben. I always liked the clio, owned a 172 years ago.
Don`t worry about the black fuel pulsoid, I have them too. Supposedly they seem to run out of blue pulsoids now and then, hence the black ones.

Very nice job just as I've come to expect from Julian.

Why did you go for braided supply hose???

It's not a black 'fuel' Pulsoid it's a black 'nitrous' Pulsoid.

We had a batch of black ones made specifically for our EX American agent for the US market a few years ago and we then ran out of blue Pulsoids a few months ago, so I decided to use the black ones for our market as we're about to launch the X10 Pulsoids and don't want to make anymore of the existing Pulsoids.

Braided line looks better. I know everyone raves on that nylon is better for performance but from where i sit it performs well enough for me! so im happy lol.

Next to come is bottle heater as it only reads 500psi on the gauge :(

Thanks for comments.

For your application (being at a modest 50 HP) the difference in the results between braided and nylon would be WORTHWHILE and could improve you acceleration times by a second or more as well as saving you lbs in nitrous waste.
In the main the supply pipe is out of view and it can even be routed so as to be all hidden, so I wouldn't let 'looks' be more important than the performance benefits, which is why I include nylon in all my systems rated up to 150 HP.

If you're happy with the results at 500psi and when using braided hose, be ready for a SERIOUS improvement when you fit a heater but you'll have to imagine how much better they'd be if you had used nylon supply hose.

PS. At least it's OUR braided hose (which most people seem to think we don't offer), so it's not as big a problem as the guys who buy US made kits have to suffer.

with that length of braided from one end of the car to the other, surely there will be a hugh loss of density in the liquid.. :?

Maybe the X10 would be more suited for this arrangment so you could at least make use of the purge port..??

bet your still having some serious fun tho...

Chris

I never really considered the difference is nylon and braided to be that different. I mean it can only spend a couple of seconds in the actual line anyway?

It's nothing to do with the time factor, there's MUCH more to it than that and believe me our nylon produces MUCH BETTER RESULTS than using braided.

If you look in the Highpower product info section of the forum (TOP), you'll find a thread on nylon Vs braided that you should read.

Perhaps i may consider changing to the nylon lines then, but first priority is the bottle heater.

I've also just been on the site looking at those new X-10 solenoids, they looks awesome. Gotta get a set of them in the future too lol.

BOTH my solenoids are black. As it's the internals that matter, and you can't even see my solenoids (unless you REALLY know where to look) I'm not worried.

PS. It's actually because Trevor works from an old abandoned COAL mine LOL LOL

Got my bottle heater fitted and working too now, gets the cylinder upto 950psi in about 10 mins flat and comes pretty much ready to plug in, couldnt be happier!

One question though, is it best to fit the heater mat on the underside of the tank or upperside?

It pretty much wraps round the bottle anyway, so don't worry.
Hope to see you at the Pod.
Nice Job
