I doubt the performance gains would be noticeable but the aesthetic improvements most certainly would be. ;)

BTW it's not a 'system' it's just an improved Pulsoid design.

ah ok, just had a quick read up on your revo system aswell which looks quite interesting  i will see how the car runs at the Japshow finals this weekend and have a think where i want to go from there upgrade wise. Ive only just moved onto a progressive system for this event so want to see if it helps. Thanks for the info :D

A progressive system will always produce better results than a fixed hit.

just thought i would put some updates on here, very happy with my results from the weekend and i know with some practice the car has much better times in her due to my sloppy gear changes by myself!

managed a 12.3second pass @ 110mph  with a 1.73s 60ft time, got lots of weight loss planned over winter and maybe some extra goodies for the car. I think i may add a WoN purge kit aswell

with a little practice i should have the car in the 11s no problem

thanks, yes very happy with the result i knew it was a good run but was shocked i had just knocked .7seconds off my previous pb :D

i need my bottles excessive pressure valve to vent to the outside of my car, does WoN have a recommended way of doing this or is it just a case of fitting some hose over the valve and pointing this to the outside of the car

I have an old hose from the scrapyard running from the SPRV to a hole into the floor of the car. Good enough for scrutineering officials at the drags.

Impressive performance b.t.w. I`m sooo jealous.

It's a rule that should only be applied to US bottles but if you have to comply with it, tell them it's not required as the gas can ONLY be released in small quantities at low pressure. If they still insist on you adding something, a basic piece of ANY hose will do but you'd better ask them EXACTLY what they want you to use, as they may kick you back if you do your own thing and it doesn't meet with their STUPID requirements.

hmmm thanks for the info, need to give them a ring tomorrow about my rollcage so will ask what specific requirements they have for the bottle. Hopefully i can convince them its not required

Hi guys im after a bit of advice.... planning some work over winter on my engine to allow me to run more Nitrous  ive been looking at some forged pistons and been offered a compression ratio of either 11:1 or 9.8:1 now i believe 9.8:1 may be best for running 100+bhp of nitrous but im concerned such a large drop may loose me alot of power off just the supercharger alone....

any suggestions?

What bottle/supply line are you using?, almost looks like Goodridge or Earls brake hose?.

Even the most unlikely occurrence can and should be allowed for when safety is concerned. I don't think anyone can be too careful. Ever.

There's NO chance of the SPRV acting like a rupture disc Adrian, so the rules are totally inappropriate for our systems.

On the matter of compression, yes a lower compression should be better for a high dose of nitrous but may not be 'essential'. Having said that I'd be amazed if a blower engine is running close to 12:1 but if it does, then you could regain any lost performance by upping the blower drive ratio.

im pretty sure its currently 11:1, so maybe by going down to say 9.8:1 and changing the pulley for an 9-10psi pulley i could prevent any loss in performance?

What ignition timing figures are you running on boost currently?

I find that ignition advance can give a good indication of when compression is too high.

If you are putting 20 degrees without problems in then you almost certainly dont need to lower the compression however high it sounds, but if you are running almost no timing, then a drop in compression would certainly be beneficial in my experience.

If you could post the top line of your ignition advance table from the map for the boost you are currently running it would be an interesting start for further discussion.
