It's borderline embarrassing admitting how much you spend on your car, so I don't tell anyone unless they are familiar with cars, cause they just don't understand, and I don't fell the need to justify myself to them....especially my Mother, she's on a need to know basis, and she doesn't need to know. :omgrofl:

Great video. I just can't get close to those gearchanges with my T56. Can't wait to see what the nitrous does for you.

Love your attention to detail and the passion for the brand. Holden should have you on their Xmas card list.

Brilliant, however my GF does understand, but because I involved her from the begining, she cuts me a lot of slack. Having said that, she called me a tart last night for getting my rocker covers powder coated to match the Blue NOS lines :omgrofl:

For those of you trying to get partners to understand your level of interest in your car, get them to watch an Aussie movie/documentry called 'Love the Beast'. It's about Eric Banna (actor in many american movies) and his love for his Ford. It seems to get through to the ladies just how much these cars mean to us!

What a Bizzare coincidence. Yesterday I saw that "Top Gear" episode with Eric Banna and a clip from that very film

Not a truer word spoken. When I watch the movie I'll have to block my ears and yell "la la la la la la la" every time they mention that Ford word. :omgrofl:

Reminds me of when I stopped for fuel in my Porsche, wearing a Mopar T-shirt... The staff member laughed and said - make your mind up, Porsche or Mopar?! I told him that both are brilliant and both deserve respect! I like fast things, not things with a certain badge....

That's a pretty quick Datsun, or as they pronounced it "Dartsun". Not many moving parts on that thing to fail.

Now for the electrics!! The part I hate, the back breaker for a 6ft bloke.

The unfortunate thing about running lots of pulsoids, controllers, relays etc, is the limited room to put it all. This box I made sits in the passenger side back seat foot well (I don't have a back seat to save weight, I will be mini tubbing the rear and this encroaches into where the seat is, and I will have to have a rollcage soon). The box has a lid so it cleans it up a bit. The retard module and the Mosfet box sit under the passenger seat out of sight, but at the drags the seat will come out for weight saving and in case I need to adjust the retard amount.

Trev can you have a look at the last photo and see if the wiring of the mosfet box is as we discussed. The yellow wire from the mosfet box enters on the left, splits 4 ways (white wires) that go to the (87) output (4 relays on the right) which supply the 4 sets of pulsoids +12v (which are the the blacks wires that share the same 87 terminal and exit on the right). Hope that makes sense.

Also, this way if a relay shits itself then it will still pull power from the others, as the white wires are linked.

Thanks Perry, you're still faster than me.

But I'm also 300kg lighter
When you start spraying a 9 is well on the cards mate.. Big up

I love the wiring centre mate. I too ran out of room so I chucked out the passengers seat and put all my stuff where I could see it.. A lot of this stuff happens track side when I decide I need to alter some shit. I made up a plate at home and me and my Son plus a few WON guys mucked in to get it finished / lashed up in the pits so I could race.

This was many months back. And I PB'd on the day in question :D :D

I have got so addicted to chasing the 9 now that nothing else matters to me. As long as it works I'm happy.

That's a big arse relay you got there Austin, thanks for the diagram, mine is pretty much the same just with 4 relays which are all linked together, so that should work the same. I got the Dedenbear relay centre when I was only going to run 2 sets of pulsoids, 2 for the pulsoids, 1 for fuel pump, 1 for purge solenoid, and the spare for bottle heater.

That depends if you have a fat arse or not, :omgrofl: I'm sure someone on here can confirm that, steady on guys, be nice!! :D
It is addictive, maybe we're stubborn too, throwing lots of money just to chase a number, elusive number mind you.

Purge solenoid set up, just in case I need it it's there, and it's also good to relieve the pressure in the line after the bottle has been turned off.

This shit is a drug eh mate?? Why abuse a substance to get high, when you can abuse one to go fast :beatstick:

That's my theory Perry (Oh, nice rhyme), I could gut the car out to save some kilos, one day maybe, but I do think "just put a bigger jet in"

Finally got my 5mm tube hand bender from the US (took 2 months!). So I have spent all weekend fart arsing around with bending, which if you know is a real pain in the butt.

I am putting a custom fuel cell up the front and will run braided lines to the Y-blocks that you see in the photos, and the nitrous line will run from the bottle, under the car, to a y-junction then to each of the y-blocks in the photos.
