Must admit I'm looking forward to seeing what Tim Blakemores new ZZR14 can do,
Likewise,I had a good chat with him at the bulldog last year,he told me how hard/expensive it was to build a 14 suitable for the funny bike..nice to see something that isn't a suzuki once in a while

As for the gsxr again, it looks like its gonna need to go 1371 and possibly stroked to over 1400cc just to keep base BHP up to build on with the gas..... We will see, i think to start with i need to find the limit that a 1216 can take before the engine has to be re-configured for even more gas
I know a man who can get oil boiler big blocks, mate of mine owns the patterns and licence.
At least with a suzuki you have a lot of cross model part matching which really helps keep costs down.I hate to say it but I'm having a triumph crank reground/stroked to use busa rods, once they aren't strong enough there are loads of aftermarket options available

I dont know if this has bean mentioned yet but I just want to warn people that bad exhaust flow weather it be caused by wrong cams, small exhaust, small collectors, and small header can and will cause back flow in the exhaust. If designed wrong This will cause hot exhaust gasses to remain or renter the cylinder. This can cause preignition and predetination. Be careful when designing this part of the motor.

Hi HG yup already blew the plenum apart on my beemer. The main suspect was 2 very short headers into the collector.I advanced the exhaust cam a few degrees to cut down on the overlap and never had the problem again.

A larger/better designed exhaust would have been nice but not an easy or cheap option.

Quite lucky on the exhaust front, both bikes well equipped, one you can almost see the exhaust valves!! LOL
May try out some exhaust tape tho, see if it makes any difference
