Hi guys,

My name is Dan. I'm new to the forum and nitrous.
I've read a few treads and clicked a few links. You could say I'm still pretty green.

So here a breakdown of what I have and what I would like to achieve.

1990 integra with a low km jdm b16a. It has good compression and doesn't smoke at all. All stock internals.
The only thing that's been changed inside the engine is new oem lost motion assemblies.

Other mods include upgraded clutch (rated for more hp than I expect to make). Walboro 225 fuel pump. Thermal gaskets and full exhaust.
Was obd0 converted to obd1 with a p28 ecu.

What I have is a NOS Universal Sniper Nitrous System
For 4 & 6 Cylinder Multi-Point EFI Engines
w/ 10lb Bottle (bought new off a friend who decided to go another route).

I would like to run a 50hp shot safely.
I was going to add a 2 Stage WOT/RPM Activated Window Switch and eventually bottle heater.

Will stock plugs be ok at this point or one range colder?
And will a colder plug effect performance when I'm not spraying?
How much ignition timing retard for this setup?

Basically I'm just looking for some suggestions or corrections to my plans.

Sorry if I sound like a broken record to some of you guys.
Thanks for having me.

Regards
Dan

Hi Dan welcome to the forum

im a relative new comer to nitrous myself, so i will leave the more technical questions to the more experianced guys.

The recommendation is to fit 1 grade colder plugs, I fitted 1 grade colder to my Fiesta zetec s and havent noticed anything detrimental when not spraying.

Hi, Dan and welcome!

I've read a few treads and clicked a few links. You could say I'm still pretty green.
We will guide you through all that is in the world of nitrous and I IMPLORE you to continue reading all sticky threads.

So here a breakdown of what I have and what I would like to achieve.

1990 integra with a low km jdm b16a. It has good compression and doesn't smoke at all. All stock internals.

As long as they are are good a quality piston as OEM, then the b16 should be able to handle a good amount of power. The one drawback is the open deck block that should receive a block guard for power levels above 75hp of a fixed hit. There are cases where engines have survived 100hp fixed hit on an open deck, but they are on the ragged edge of failure. A Wizards of NOS (WON) kit could produce 125 HP on a b series with a progressive ramp up (IE: 125HP starting at 25%) the ease of the hit will produce more power and maintain reliability.

Other mods include upgraded clutch (rated for more hp than I expect to make). Walboro 225 fuel pump. Thermal gaskets and full exhaust.
Was obd0 converted to obd1 with a p28 ecu.

All good here.

This is where we have to step in with some tough love, and believe me it's for YOUR benefit:

Get rid of that kit; sell it to someone you absolutely despise and watch them go through the misery that we are saving you from. The quality of the components in Holley NOS (ESPECIALLY their Sniper line) are complete junk and they WILL damage your engine. The solenoids are notorious for leaking/seizing and the nozzle dispersion is not suitable for single point injection use. There are other key points as to why to AVOID them like the plague but that should be enough to hopefully convince you.

I would like to run a 50hp shot safely.
Not possible with NOS or any other brand kit besides a Wizards system, unfortunately.

I was going to add a 2 Stage WOT/RPM Activated Window Switch and eventually bottle heater.

Good options to have, although not required.

Will stock plugs be ok at this point or one range colder?
And will a colder plug effect performance when I'm not spraying?
How much ignition timing retard for this setup?

IF you went with a Wizards of NOS system, you would not need to make any changes to plugs except to tighten up the gap, although a 1 step cooler NGK plugs would be a good idea. Stock ignition timing is all you need for 50 hp on a WON system.

Basically I'm just looking for some suggestions or corrections to my plans.

I've made the necessary corrections for you and I'll provide one more important link for you to read. http://forum.nitrous-advice.org/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=689

Sorry if I sound like a broken record to some of you guys.
Thanks for having me.

No problem at all as we are accustomed to receiving questions of this nature from time to time and welcome aboard!

Regards
Dan

P.S.

I've used nearly ALL brands of kits from Holley NOS to Zex to Nitrous Express, etc., etc. and ALL have failed at one point or another, taking my engines with them to the junk yard.
