You don´t want to spray during gear shift!

I think you have a switch on your clutch pedal. but i don´t know if its open or closed...
If it opens when you press the pedal you could use it inline with the WOT switch.

Dou you have a WOT switch to actvate the N2O?
Do you have a Nitrous controller with window switch?
That makes racing much easier!

What about when an autobox shifts with foot to the floor and nitrous still flowing?

This is exactly what I do, but I use the auto shift detection option in the Race Extreme.
It detects the rev drop, shuts the NOS off and re-sets for the next gear and so it goes on
and I never have to lift my foot :D

Works a treat :)

All the best Brett :)

As expected gents, but what about in the dim and distant past, before the days of controllers, when nitrous systems came in just single or two-stage systems and there was no ability to do the electrical sensing - or indeed for today's users who can't afford a system and a controller.

Can they just keep planted as the box changes up?

On auto's (as all mine were) you just keep your foot planted and it'll be fine.

The ONLY experience I've had that contradicts that is on a Smart car, which I believe suffered under such operation but I think that was because the clutch is disengaged for an abnormally long time, so we fitted a clutch switch (they are automated manual boxes for anyone who doesn't know) and that sorted that.

For manuals you need either a clutch switch or a gear lever mounted switch to kill the ignition when flat shifting.

The Max makes it all so much easier though.

I just wished I'd had all the goodies and knowledge we offer now, back when I was racing, as I'd have DESTROYED the opposition even more convincingly!!!

Which is what I've done with auto Rover SD1 V8s (as you did - with huge percentages of boost over factory outputs) and a couple of Ford V6s, but interesting how the mindset is shifting to controllers being the norm now.

Put a clutch switch on it,I did this here you go Trev in 1984 on my 1st 4spd nitrous car and never had a problem....If its a auto use the Max to tune to the track or road conditions....and or even the clutch switch thru the max to reset....Real Men Never Lift..... :omgrofl: we just hit walls.. :loser: :beatstick:

Yep!
I keep my foot planted on my 3 speed auto. 100hp off the line and build set to 1.7 seconds on a basic controller so its at 250hp just as I bang the shifter into 2nd and then into 3rd :)
