Time to get the shopping list together.
As I wont be using more than a 300 shot I'll stick with one pair of pulsoids per bank of the V8.
The fuel delivery will be via a 044 pump and fuel rail with return reg. Here is my thought on the setup:
1 pair of Y connectors from each pulsoid. Then the outlets from these Y's will connect to more Y's so i end up with 4 nitrous and 4 fuel from each pulsoid on each side of the V8.
I'm thinking that I should use solid nipples from pulsoids to the first pair of Y connectors. This will keep them secure and close to the pulsoid outlets. Maybe I should use more nipples to connect the next pair of Y's so its all solid ??
From the second set of Y's on the nitrous side it will be blue nylon to the crossfires. But where should I fit the fuel jet holders?
Should I fit them into each crossfire or should I fit them at the outlets of the second pair of Y connectors??
I guess if they are at the outlet of the Y's it will make it easier to change the fuel jets as the crossfires are tucked in below the blower flange. But if its best to fit the fuel jets in the crossfires I can do it. I'm thinking that jets in the Y outlets to the crossfires will be fine as this is the final point for metering from the pulsoids.
I've already got some stuff so i reckon my shopping list wil be:
8 Y connectors.
6 jet holders ( I assume these are the same as the ones I have for the spider so i have two of those already)
4 nipples.
8 jets for the fuel of assorted sizes. I'm thinking 8x20's 8x25's 8x30's 8x40's
I've got plenty of 4mm nuts, olives and pipe.
If this is right I just need to call Ant and get the stuff posted out.
The spider is now fitted to my Sons Escort V8 engine. I told him to leave it on the shelf as the car wont be out for shakedowns until next year. But he's nicked my spare manifold with the 600dp and he's getting ready to plumb it all in. I bet I open my box of won stuff next month to find most of it gone!! Bloody Kids!! The car sits outside so now I've got to get a tin of 3in1 spray and show him that he needs to give the whole lot a protective coating and then drape a cotton cloth over it?? I cant fault his enthusiasm though. But I'll have to slow him down next week when I tell him its time to build the last engine for my car if he wants to earn track time in it
