EGT's are a very good way of assessing the evenness (or otherwise), of the distribution of nitrous and fuel through a nitrous system on a multi-cylinder engine.
I've previously mentioned that our Swedish Pro Mod customer had reported amazingly close EGT figures and now we have the results from our new World record holding nitrous assisted bike for the SS mile and surprise, surprise, they indicate the same results, which are that the EGT's are more even when using a WON nitrous system, than they are when running NA!!!
BTW that's JUST comparing the 'actual' numeric difference but when you consider the numbers as a 'percentage differential' it's even more impressive, as the differential NA is roughly DOUBLE the differential using WON nitrous!!!
Fortunately, both customers have previously used US brand kits and both have confirmed that the results they saw when using those were WILDLY DIFFERENT, with in excess of 100 degrees variance being the norm.
Anyone surprised at that???? Thought not!!!!!
Here's a copy of the EGT logs from the world record run;
As soon as I figure out how to access the Racepak logs for the Pro Mod car, I'll post a copy of those as well.
