Do you think the Spider plate will work in a fuel injection dry set up or would the Venom injector be a better choice?

I have a big block Chevy 489ci.

I would like to thank you in advance for any help you can provide.

By coincidence I have THREE American customers about to use the Spider in such a way.

The first should be using it for the first time later this month. He is already the world record holder in his class and is aiming to substantially improve on the times he achieved using US products.

The second (who is also a world record holder in a number of classes), has also had us supply a DP system (as well as the Spider), because he's unsure how the Spider will be treated in some of the classes he races in. If they outlaw the Spider or handicap the car for using it, he'll switch to the DP system. He's also assured me he'll do accurate back to back testing to see which produces the best results - my money is on the Spider.
This customer should be racing in March, so not much longer to wait for some results of at least the DP system for sure.

The third customer has yet to be sent his systems but he's already used a Spider and recorded better results than a NOS big shot plate and we're now supplying him with a much higher flowing system.

2 of these are dry systems and use the Spider as a plenum system rather than a plate system, by inverting the Spider central section and feeding it from underneath the plenum.

That all sound great, especially should help in getting system tuning with a dry efi, which is one of the thing I was worry about since I was not able to find anybody using the Spider with the dry efi.

Do you know which efi system those guys are using?

On your plenum system; is this something I can have a local machine shop fit or is the intake have to be ship to you?

It will as long as my customers are prepared to share their settings with me and are also willing to let me pass them on.

I can't say at this time (as the 2 main guys want to keep a lot of what they are doing secret for now) but once they produce 'noteworthy' results, I'll be broadcasting their names and then you can see what info you can find about them.

You could probably do it yourself, as it couldn't be easier, ALL you need to do is drill a single hole from the inside of the manifold, centrally through the floor and run a tap through it - THAT'S IT!!!!
From then on it's just screwing in a single fitting, sliding the Spider in to place and tightening a couple of nuts.

When I order the Spider do I have to tell the dealer that is for a dry system?

The efi dealer said that they can tune the system thru the internet and that they have an extensive experience tuning dry efi systems. What do you think? Is this a good way to go?

Sorry for all the dumb questions but I not aware of any local nitrous experts that can tune a system like this

Thank you so much for all your help Trevor, you really when out of the way for me. I just like to say that mend a lot to me. It’s not every day that one experiences that type of customer service. I hope your system runs as good as your service. I look forward to my new Spider

My pleasure AJ and I assure you the system will perform even better than our service. ;)

Please expect a call from my assistant tomorrow, as we've had a problem with the transaction clearing.
