I’m currently building a drag beetle and am thinking of fitting the bottle in the front as per pic or horizontally across the front

Hi Phil, The mounting position in the pic would be better because the dip tube will be less likely to pick up gaseous nitrous during the run. A horizontal mounting is more susceptible to picking up gaseous nitrous, which is low density and will cause some rich stumbles. This is especially true if the car sways and sloshes more liquid away from the dip tube pickup as the contents empties on the far end of the 1/4. A horizontal mounting is only recommended for vehicles where space is a limiting factor.
