Swamped, that is where!

I have not had chance to do anything with the MX5 or the Capri (other than make a water heater to raise the block temperature in the garage without deafening everyone!).

I have bought a Smart Roadster chassis to think about engine swaps when mine gives up.

I had a play over Christmas and created a couple of death traps:

And in a moment of madness I have agreed to do something that is more likely to kill me than driving the Capri!

Other than that it has been a fairly quiet off season! I am hoping to get the Capri out soon, but who knows what the future holds!

Happy New Year to WON and all and I hope 2012 is faster than ever :)

Glad to hear you're still alive and kicking Dave.

It's a double surprise to learn you're doing such an event, as you didn't strike me as the athletic type and why so far from home?

Anyway all the best of luck with that and rather you than me, as one length would kill me off but I have to say I 'wish' it was me, as it would be nice to be fit enough to do even a small fraction of what you're attempting.

Cheers Trev :)

Looks can be deceiving ;)

I am doing the 24 hour swim at our local pool, but it is to raise funds for my team (I am coach to a group of talented 'older' swimmers) to go to the World Championships which are being held in Italy this year.

Last year ma bitches broke a European Record and they are fully deserving of a trip to the Worlds, as with most things though it all has to be self funded. So far we have 7 swimmers going and at a cost of £1000 each it is not cheap especially when you consider that 3 of them are taking their partners, and for some it means a whole family trip and it is not exactly a family friendly 'holiday' with 6 long days at the competition pool!

I would ask you to provide something for the prizes Trev, but your products although fitting in with my desire for high end goods sadly (or fortunately for you!) are a little too specialised for a general prize :)

I am probably not fit enough to undertake the swim, but my determination and insanity will see me through!
