Well its been a few years since Newk first bought one of my systems for his Pro Mod VW race car but after years of one set back or another, he's back on the track at last.

Nothing great to report yet as he's still sorting the NA performance but with a bit of luck he'll be making some serious progress soon.

Here's a brief video clip of the car launching;

That`s an impressive video shot. Surprised he doesn`t lift the wheels high up in the air.
Or does he use wheelybars?
Curious to see what the nitrous will do.

The fella on the right lane is driving a snowmobile?

No wheelie bars, just a well set up and balanced chassis.

Likewise, especially as he's the only nitrous car in a field of turbo cars.

Yes there's a few of them about.

Been getting closer on the tuneup and fixing broken gearbox stuff lately... hahah So far the car has been 9.61 and 147mph in the 1/4 on 100hp jets. Heres a incar of last nights run with new gearbox and a few tweaks.

Very happy with the hp the car is making now. Closing in on re-setting the nitrous bar for our platform.

As a note I am progressing the nitrous the first two gears and not at 100% until third. Which is when the car overpowers the track... :yes:

After all the problems you've encountered over the years (especially the early days), I'm so pleased to hear things are going well for you at last, especially that you're now making MORE POWER than you can handle.

Did you ever figure out why you weren't making the nitrous power in the early days?

Those video's are great and exhilerating, so well done on getting it to the end of the track without scratching/wrecking it.

You might like to take a look at our Facebook page, as I've used your car in a little pro mo event;

Best of luck at your next race meeting.

Thanks for the encouragement. Im not a quitter for sure. hahah. I was running a smaller engine with weber carbs and using the fuel pulsoids as well back then. I think there was a number of issues I had. First I got my stuff from a certain US supplier and had little issues there. Next I had some seal issues with the ethanol I was running. Some stuff was just a learning curve for me to get on as well. That engine was not nearly as "purpose" build for nitrous as this engine is as far as head design and cam events go. There was hints of greatness but at the end I had the opportunity to substantially upgrade the engine program and sold that motor off and at my financial state it just takes time....

I am certain this is just the beginning of the hp level the motor will make/handle. I am using ideas and stuff I have learned over the years putting nitrous on these engines. Using the EFI this time and dry nitrous is advantagous for me I feel. Our track which most of my videos are from is usually not prepared unfortunately to get the best e.t. from. I will be on a much better track soon and be the single nitrous car against a 18 car field of turbo charged cars. Hopefully the track will be good as I am ready to turn the level up.....

Thanks for the condensed version of events that have lead to this promising situation Jeff.

Best of luck at the next meet and I hope you'll take a few turbo scalps on route to ultimately taking them all at a later date. :yes:
