I thought you might be interested in one of our most unusual applications. Suggestions as to what the engine is are invited. ;-)

Nope!

Tip 1 - They are rare, at least for nitrous use but that's changing as we now have 3 customers with this particular engine.

You got it, ALL 1,800 HP of it, plus in the region of another 500 HP of nitrous for this particular one.

We also have one similar in Bosnia and another in Scotland, that is already in the quickest Scooby in the UK at 9.0 without nitrous, so it's 8s for sure now he has the WON effect. :twisted:

That was a lucky guess!!! 1800hp already? I'm surprised to hear its not running well into the 8's already? Must be carrying a bit of weight or is running on some average surfaces? Either way, I'm sure a nice progressive nitrous system wont hurt!!!

Regards,
Sam

Twin HUGE turbo's on methanol - that's a projected figure as the builds not fully finished yet.

I'm surprised to hear its not running well into the 8's already?
That's because they are 2 (actually 3 in all) different cars. The 9.0 car is the same 'type' of engine but much lower power - not sure what that one makes.

That's explained now. ;)

Either way, I'm sure a nice progressive nitrous system wont hurt!!!
The one that has this manifold is having a wet system and the other 2 have dry ECU controlled systems.

This is a link to a forum thread covering the UK 9 second Scooby details;

And this one covers the US based one with the fabricated manifold and wet system;

Trev - that American build must be described as EPIC. I will be sure to keep an eye on that thread from now on!

Thanks for sharing.

Couldn't agree more Sam. :twisted:

To my knowledge he's been working on the project at least 10 years and the main reason for that is he has to have EVERYTHING JUST RIGHT. :yes:

He's one of the growing number (of which there are now quite a few), of HIGH END customers who will be showcasing our products in the HOPEFULLY near future, that I'm referring to in this thread;

viewtopic.php?f=14&t=6440

so one secret is now out. :lol:
